The EPDIC-11 Workshop
Objectives
The aim of the Workshop is to promote the development and use of X-ray techniques in order to extract information from the objects of cultural heritage and to have scientists and conservators present the advanced methods of investigation in this area.
The Workshop will be focused on investigations of historic materials like pigments, stone, mortars, glass, ceramics, metal alloys as well as corrosion and deterioration processes in historic objects, by X-ray techniques and closely related methods.
Taking into account that Krakow is an ancient city with numerous museums, we hope that the Workshop will also be a good platform for sharing the results of investigations of the art objects between scientists and conservators.
