The 9th Annual World Drug Discovery & Development Summit is the conference and networking event for innovation in drug discovery and pre-clinical development. The 2010 programme will discuss through a mixture of strategic and scientific sessions, how the industry is dealing with threats from dwindling pipelines, generic competition and patent expiries through advances in R&D.

This multi streamed event will focus on these four key areas:
* target identification and validation
* lead identification and optimisation
* Pre-clinical development
* Informatics

Our programme is driven by an advisory board who have already started working on the event, and have identified these strategic areas to be addressed in the programme:
* Creative ways to address unmet medical needs and business demands
* Collaboration to enhance in-house R&D – creating profitable alliances
* Data mining and knowledge mining for drug innovation and repositioning
* Orphan drug discovery and development– exploiting the potential for parallel drug development
* Using systems biology to improve decision making in drug development
