After successful meetings in 2005 and 2007, we are pleased to invite you to the 3rd Symposium on Microwave Accelerated Synthesis (M.A.S. 09) 21. - 23. September 2009 in Düsseldorf.

Nowadays, microwave-assisted chemistry is a rapidly growing field of research. In the last decade, various examples of reaction accelerations, selectivities and higher yields have been reported. In this symposium, the current state of the art should be summarized and an overview of microwave-assisted synthesis will be presented, whereby special attention is given to advantages and promising future trends in this intriguing field of research.

This interdisciplinary symposium will bring together scientists from diverse fields, e.g. engineers, material scientists, pharmacists, biochemists as well as inorganic and organic chemists to present their recent research. The assortment of themes gives thought-provoking impulses not only for scientific work, but also for industrial applications.
